The relationship between Lionel Messi and Christian Ronaldo will continuously be marked by their battle for the same space as long as people keep comparing the both of them and they remain in a competition with one another.
At the 2013 Ballon d'Or gala, Ruud Gullit said he noticed a strange relationship between Messi and Ronaldo; they barely say hello to one another". Their interaction in the midst of others is cold, its was respectful but cold, they do not hate each other as some people might beleive, though their conversation does not usually go beyound "hello, how are you, everything okay?"
Messi is always surrounded by his crew or with Xavi and Iniesta whereas, Christiano usually show up on his own which is why he's claiming that Messi's team mates carry him about like a designer handbag.
You would think the Real Madrid man will come up with something more creative but that's not the case, He calls Messi 'Motherf*cker' and any Real Madrid player seen communicating with him instantly becomes a Motherf*cker too and Ronaldo took his grounds still that he can not be compared to Messi; "Messi and I are as different as Ferrari and Porsche." He even refer to Messi as Ronaldo's little dog in one of Balague's book.
